Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
I love the water reflections and patterns in this photo! This is the lighthouse at Grantham Pointe on Lake Dora across the street from Gilbert Park in Mount Dora, Florida. It's a short drive down Tremain Street near downtown Mount Dora. This area is also called "Lighthouse Park". I wanted to capture the reflection of the lighthouse in the water, but it was tricky get a good composition without other docks or objects in the foreground. I walked around and finally found a dock that I could walk down to get closer to the lighthouse and get this amazing view. The air was still and the water gently lapped across the lake creating these beautiful patterns! I waited for a boat to go by and the water to calm down again to this beautiful pattern before taking this photo. This lighthouse is one of three freshwater lighthouses in the state of Florida and the only one that is inland. It sits at the entry of Port Dora and guides boats after dusk.
